First Batch of Images from New Camera

These are the first few images that I took with the new camera. I'm trying to get familiar with the size, menu, and amount of features this camera has to offer. The amount of detail that can be captured amazes me. I don't want to jinx myself, but so far the upload time to the computer has been really quick. For those of you that have experienced how painfully slow my mac is, then you would understand how happy this makes me!

A snowflake that hangs on the wreath on my front door.

My neighbor Vivians shed. It's really spooky at night. This is where all of the neighbor hood raccoons hang out.

This shot was taken from inside the house looking out towards Vivian's house.

Ribbon on the front door wreath.

Fresh paint. No, its actually more like lead paint on my front door.

More old paint.

A close up of a wooden box that I have. As the label suggests, it holds my take out menus.

Lock on the basement door.

The hot air vent.

  1. These look really nice so far. When you move to manual I would try some stuff at a lower ISO - the camera seems to be using an 800 which I always feel is a bit high. Still at 800 there is virtually no noise pulled up close. Try that picture of the lock again on a manual setting with your ISO at 400 and your aperture at a 8 or so - see what it gives you for shutter speed - I want to see if the noise spreads out if you increase your aperture size.
