Have a Seat and Stay a While

Before & After

My two up-cycled projects are now complete. The little vintage chair that I picked up at Old House Parts in Kennebunk, ME has been painted and stained. I am totally in love with the way it turned out. Its a great accent piece and adds just enough color to the living room.

The second project started out as an old piece of driftwood but now has a new life as a coat rack. I searched high and low for some neat pieces of hardware and found these vintage looking clear knobs to act as hooks.  This piece definitely clears up a tremendous amount of space between the living room and kitchen.  It replaced a traditional stand up coat rack that took up too much in the kitchen doorway. This is a much better solution and adds a lot of character.
