On a recent trip to the fabric store, I found a neat pattern for a retro apron. Its a McCalls' pattern. All you have to do is cut the fabric and stitch. Well, that's what I thought anyway. I never thought it would be so difficult to follow. Inner seam, seam stitch, fold lines, right side, wrong side, blah blah blah. It was nearly impossible to follow those directions. I had to call in Mom for backup. With her many years of monkey, bunny, frog, and even cabbage patch kid Halloween costumes under her belt I thought for sure she would be able to figure out the 'simple' pocket on this 'simple' apron. No luck, 2 hrs later we ditched the pocket and it was too late in the evening to continue. Just like my current Pixel projects, this one has also been put on hold. My apron will have to wait.
Pattern stuffed into its envelope, a sign of defeat...darn pocket!
I have had an apron pattern for a while that I can't finish b/c its too darn complicated! I even had all the ribbing pinned in place - I think those are trickier than the halloween costumes I have sewn
